The College Blueprint’s new Word Power! class is specifically designed to build a strong foundation before our students begin SAT and ACT preparation.
Students will learn effective strategies for decoding unfamiliar words as well as how to develop stronger word choices for their own writing. Our small class size will enable our students to expand their vocabularies and improve their critical reading skills. Classes are “seminar style” with lots of interaction and student-directed learning. Course instructor, Adella Loar, is a retired California teacher with a Master’s Degree and a successful College Blueprint tutor.
